Course presenters

  • Steve Hudson

    Steve Hudson MIEx is an experienced International Trade and Logistics professional with over 30 years of experience. He has been involved in importing and exporting both operationally and also as an international trade consultant. He now provides advice and support to clients on Customs related issues. Steve has spoken widely on Customs and  is a committee member of the Automated Customs and International Trade Association (ACITA).

    Before becoming an International Trade Consultant, Steve was the International Trade Manager at GE Healthcare and he successfully helped them achieve AEO status in the UK and in several other countries in Europe.

  • Mark Rowbotham

    Mark is an International Consultant, Trainer and writer in Customs and VAT Compliance issues. He has spent a considerable length of time working in both the Government, Commercial and Academic sectors. He deals primarily with Compliance, Control and Procedural issues in Customs, Excise and VAT.

    He was originally an Officer in HM Customs & Excise, dealing with Import and Export Controls and became an independent consultant and trainer in 2000. He has a Masters’ Degree in International Relations and Political Economy and is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Logistics and Transport, as well as a member of the Institute of Export and International Trade. He has written extensively on the subjects of Customs, International Supply Chain and Marine Compliance. He also advises several Chambers of Commerce on Customs, VAT and International Trade issues. He is an accredited trainer for the British Chambers of Commerce, and has also been an adviser to Department for International Trade.
