The Impact of the EU-UK Trade Deal

The UK and EU have now concluded a trade deal that will govern the trading arrangements between the two for many years to come. The Trade and Cooperation Agreement (TCA) is already impacting those who import or export goods and there are numerous aspects of the deal which will come as a surprise to many businesses. Traders will have to learn how to work with their suppliers, shippers and customers to lessen the disruption and minimise the costs.
One of the main headlines of the trade deal is that goods moving between the UK and EU are tariff free. It is crucial to understand that this only applies in specific circumstances and it does not remove the requirement for many of the new procedural changes. It is not simply a ‘free trade’ deal - to benefit from zero tariffs, businesses must prove goods are of UK or EU origin and this is not always straightforward.
During this 3 hour live online course our expert presenter will guide you through the key details of the deal and how it impacts trade conducted between the UK and the EU. Crucially, it will clearly explain the rules of origin and the situations where they can and cannot be applied. He will also suggest the most practical ways of dealing with the many potential procedural, organisational and regulatory obstacles.
