Course overview

The data protection regime in the UK is expected to change soon – but how significant will those changes be, and which will impact your business? The Data (Use and Access) Bill is nearing the end of its Parliamentary journey and should update GDPR and other data protection laws. The ICO continue to issue new guidance and take regular enforcement action, with recent compensation cases shining a spotlight on the impact of the GDPR beyond just the actions of the ICO.

This half-day course will look at all these aspects and provide an essential update for anyone responsible for or involved in data protection compliance within their organisation. Attendance will also help you to demonstrate your ongoing commitment to compliance with data protection laws, as required by the ICO.

During this practical and comprehensive course, our expert presenter will carefully explain...

  • What will be included in the new Data (Use and Access) Bill
  • The background and reasons for recent enforcement actions
  • The key messages coming from the ICO and other EU regulators
