Have you considered our in-house training?

Posted on 29 March 2023SharePrint

Alongside our busy schedule of public courses, we deliver many in-house presentations to clients around the country. This involves our expert presenters delivering exclusively to your organisation - by either coming to your premises or live online. Last year alone we organised, developed and delivered 70 in-house presentations.

Why choose in-house training?

  • Courses can be tailored to suit the individual needs of your organisation
  • For larger groups, the cost per delegate is often lower compared to equivalent public courses
  • Our presenters can take more time to address your specific issues and relate the content directly to your business
  • Team building opportunities for colleagues to work together - helping to develop collaboration and improve processes across departments
  • Time efficiencies with attendees avoiding travelling to an external venue
  • Flexibility in picking times and dates to suit attendees’ varying schedules

Take a look at some case studies from previous in-house clients...

Below are two case studies that show how UK Training has helped organisations to meet a specific training need. These examples show how our engaging presenters were able to not only equip delegates with new knowledge, but also to customise examples so that they were relevant to the needs of the organisation.

Case Study 1: 'The Essentials of Employment Law' to a manufacturing subsidiary

We were contacted by the HR Manager of the UK subsidiary of a major multinational. They wanted to ensure staff across the organisation had a strong knowledge of all aspects of employment law. Over a 6 month period, presenter Paul Murphy delivered 6 individual sessions of his Employment Law course. In addition to our standard course content, they were particularly keen to have additional information about the law relating to agency workers and their rights. The company relies heavily on shift work so the Working Time Regulations and managing opt-outs was also important. There were also important issues to cover around diversity, equality and discrimination, which generated a lot of lively discussion. The delegates were engaged, attentive and had relevant questions. The feedback was excellent and further sessions are in the process of being arranged later this year.

Case Study 2: 'VAT for Charities' to a charitable organisation

The Finance Manager at a charitable organisation which promotes and preserves film-making and television wanted to bring the whole finance team up to speed with the VAT rules that govern charities. Due to a mix of business and non-business activities, it can be a challenge applying the VAT rules. Our presenter was able to guide delegates through the VAT reliefs and exemptions available to the organisation. The Financial Controller noted that the session was “really helpful and covered a range of topics which were made relevant to specific circumstances”. The attendee also noted that the “useful real life examples were used which made it easy to understand for all levels of the team.”
