Auto enrolment set to impact almost a million new businesses

Posted on 17 January 2017SharePrint

Last year saw 374,300 new organisations enrol their employees in workplace pensions schemes. During 2017 that number will reach almost a million as many more small and micro-entities start to receive their staging date from January onwards.

This will virtually double the number of employers in the scheme and will place significant pressure on workplace pension providers.

In order to help small businesses with the costs of implementing auto enrolment, the Government has delayed some of the increases in employer contributions that were originally planned. The 2% minimum is now due in April 2018, and the 3% minimum is due in April 2019.

If you or your colleagues need to find out more about this subject then you should book places on our full-day course Auto Enrolment – A Practical Guide. Click here to view a full course description and book your places.
